MESSAGE FROM THE MINISTER OF TOURISM, ARTS AND CULTURE HON. MRS CATHERINE ABELEMA AFEKU.
Ghana is joining other member countries of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) to celebrate the 2017 World Tourism Day which is held every 27th September worldwide.
This year's celebration is under the theme “Sustainable Tourism‐ A Tool for Development”. Indeed when well planned, well catered for, our natural resources, our eco tourism sites could be conserved for the development and promotion of Ghana's tourism. This calls for a conscious effort at conserving our water bodies, nature parks, the flora and fauna and all that constitutes our environment that nature has offered as unique tourism products.

NOTE: This Road Map is an outcome of the “SADA Zone Agricultural Investment Workshop (AIW)” that took place in Accra on June 21-23, 2016 at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel. The AIW was organized by SADA with support from the World Bank, United States Agency for Development (USAID), Ghana Commercial Agriculture Project (GCAP), International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Alliance for Green Revolution in Agriculture (AGRA), and Africa Development Bank (AfDB). The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, attended the closing session of the AIW, where he heard the Road Map presentation and then provided comments.
