World Tourism Day & Northern Ghana Tourism Investment Summit
MESSAGE FROM THE MINISTER OF TOURISM, ARTS AND CULTURE HON. MRS CATHERINE ABELEMA AFEKU. Ghana is joining other member countries of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) to celebrate the 2017 World Tourism Day which is held every 27th September worldwide. This year's celebration is under the theme “Sustainable Tourism‐ A Tool for Development”. Indeed when well planned, well catered for, our natural resources, our eco tourism sites could be conserved for the development and promotion of Ghana's tourism. This calls for a conscious effort at conserving our water bodies, nature parks, the flora and fauna and all that constitutes our environment that nature has offered as unique tourism products.
